It’s been over seven months of top secret planning but today we are proud to launch our #WearToCare Charity Wardrobes Campaign in collaboration with HURR and Malaika .
Our campaign allows you to either rent or buy beautiful items from the most fashionable women and brands knowing that every penny goes to support the 370 girls at @malaikadrc .
Rewind (if you can bear it) to the early days of lockdown...
Myself, Victoria Prew, CEO of the UK's leading wardrobe rental platform HURR and Malaika's Founder Noëlla Coursaris Musunka, were plotting ways we could help raise money and awareness for Malaika at such a difficult time for the charity sector globally.
Fast forward 7 long months, many weekly calls and a huge amount of hard work and our campaign is now out in the world.
I am incredibly proud to be an ambassador for Malaika , a community project that provides leading educational, agricultural, health and community programs to over 370 young girls and their families in The Democratic Republic of Congo.
Have a go at renting from our charity edit (even if it’s your first time!) and you will have access to the most amazing fashionable items from leading celebrities and brands, knowing that every penny goes back to the students of Malaika, helping them to achieve their dreams.
I'm so proud of this project. A special thanks must go to @bettinalooney who not only stepped up to fundraise for the students but also said yes to fronting our campaign alongside Noella. We love you Bettina!
